About Us

"Without healthy roots, a tree cannot survive. The same is true for us."

The name Feral Root reflects both the art of bonsai and the journey of our faith as Christians.

The word feral describes something wild, untamed, and natural. In bonsai, artists often begin with raw material, trees that are unshaped, imperfect, and full of potential. Through patience, pruning, and careful guidance, that raw tree can be shaped into something beautiful.

The word root represents foundation. In bonsai, strong roots are what give a tree life, stability, and the ability to grow. Without healthy roots, a tree cannot survive. The same is true for us.

As Christians, our lives must be rooted in Christ. When our foundation is in Him, we grow in strength, character, and purpose. Just as a bonsai is shaped over time, God shapes us through the seasons of life, pruning, refining, and growing us into who He created us to be. Feral Root exists to share the art of bonsai while reminding us that true strength comes from being rooted in Christ.
